Parents, Swimmers and Divers,
With the abbreviated Season 1 schedule commencing soon, we wanted to make sure you are up to date on what we know about the girls swim and dive season. Offseason dryland and pool practice continues this week and next. See the website and email from coach Michael for details. The regular season is now scheduled to begin on 3/1/2021 and continue through 4/3/2021. While this will be an abbreviated season, it is sure to be fun and provide opportunities for our athletes to compete to engage as a team. Any swimmer interested in participating in offseason practices or the regular season must be registered for the girls BHS 2020-2021 Swim and Dive season via FinalForms. Sports physicals are required and must be submitted before swimmers can participate in any practices. Divers must also complete IMPACT testing. Based on our current understanding, these must be completed and submitted before March 1st in order for your student to participate. Coach Michael and Coach Heather are doing a great job of keeping swimmers and divers informed. Students who are participating in offseason training are generally doing a good job of following safety protocols and everyone's continued attention to published guidelines is appreciated. Practice pods are assigned by the coaches, so please coordinate with the coaches before your swimmer starts attending practice if you have not already done so. Coaches and athletic directors are working on the regular season schedule, meet plan, and meet format. We hope to have further details by the end of this week. With that in mind, we are deferring holding a parent and swimmer information night until next week. Look for updates from coaches and the boosters this week with all updates going to the mailing list. If you are not signed up for the mailing list, we encourage you to do so. Throughout the season, we will update the website with the latest information we have on practices, meets, and team events. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. We will do our best to answer with what we currently know. Comments are closed.
