A few important reminders for the final week of the swim season.
Time trials are being held daily at practice. If there is an event you want to swim, please ask Coach Michael at the beginning of practice and he will work a few heats of time trials into each practice session this week. Thursday is the final dual meet of the season. It is also Senior Night. Swimmers -- Let's have some fast swims and spirited competition versus Newport as we celebrate the Seniors and your team spirit! You've all done an admirable job in an unusual season. Friday is the final practice of the season. Coach Michael has a fun practice planned. The captains for next season will be announced on Friday. You also need to return your team jackets (washed and folded, please). We will have a station set up at the end of practice Friday where you can turn in your jackets and check your name off the list. This is important -- all jackets must be returned on Friday or you need to contact me directly to make other arrangements to return the jacket that was checked out to you. Newport is always fast and highly competitive. Swim fast, dive well, and have fun this week! Event and heat results from the week 3 meets are now posted.
It was a busy week for Bellevue Wolverines swimming. The Wolverines narrowly lost to Mercer Island 98 to 88 on Tuesday night after being just out touched in some very close races. On Thursday the final Intrasquad meet of the season was held followed by a second dual meet the same day where the Wolverines defeated Sammamish by a score of 123 to 55. Event and heat results from each meet along with the Week 3 KingCo Leaderboard are now posted on our results page. Bellevue led from the first splash to the end of tonights meet against Sammamish. Meet and heat results will be posted soon. In the meantime...
