The Bellevue High School Girl's Swim and Dive Regular Season Schedule has been posted to the school athletics website and team website with the meet schedule for the modified 2020-2021 season.
See the schedule page for important Swim and Dive practice info and be on the lookout for updates from the coaches. As a reminder, all swimmers must complete 5 regular season practices before they will be eligible to compete in meets.
Swimmers and divers will receive one team caps (to keep) and a team jacket (to be returned at end of season) during practice sessions this week. The team suit design remains unchanged from last season. Information will be provided at practice on Monday and via email for any new or returning swimmers and divers who wish to order a team suit.
All swimmers and divers will have an opportunity to compete in weekly time trials or four dual meets throughout the shortened season. Time trials and dive meets are scheduled during normal practice times at Woodridge Swim Club and Bellevue Aquatic Center respectively.
League and district safety protocols mean there will be no spectators allowed at any meets this season. We are investigating whether live streaming the events will be possible and will share further information in advance of each meet.
Keep watching the website and your inboxes for frequent updates. The regular season begins Monday!
From an email sent by the team captain's to all girls swim and dive team members...
We are so excited to start the swim and dive season next Monday! To kick things off, the captains are hosting a Captains Practice this Sunday from 2-3pm at Bellevue Park (10201 NE 4th St) where we'll play some games and get to know each other. Also, if you're new to the team, welcome! This will be a great chance to meet people and ask any questions you may have.
We're hoping to get a sense of how many people are coming, so please take a few seconds to sign up using this survey.
A few important notes:
We can't wait to see you all on Sunday or at practice next week!
Practice Schedules Posted!
Coach Michael Liu sent email to all registered swimmers with details on the regular season schedule. The schedule page of this website is updated as well.
As a reminder, you MUST register in advance for session 1 or session 2 for daily pool practices. See email from Coach Michael for a survey link and information on how to request a specific practice session.
POSTPONED : Team Information Night
Parents, Swimmers and Divers,
With the abbreviated Season 1 schedule commencing soon, we wanted to make sure you are up to date on what we know about the girls swim and dive season.
Offseason dryland and pool practice continues this week and next. See the website and email from coach Michael for details.
The regular season is now scheduled to begin on 3/1/2021 and continue through 4/3/2021. While this will be an abbreviated season, it is sure to be fun and provide opportunities for our athletes to compete to engage as a team.
Any swimmer interested in participating in offseason practices or the regular season must be registered for the girls BHS 2020-2021 Swim and Dive season via FinalForms. Sports physicals are required and must be submitted before swimmers can participate in any practices. Divers must also complete IMPACT testing. Based on our current understanding, these must be completed and submitted before March 1st in order for your student to participate.
Coach Michael and Coach Heather are doing a great job of keeping swimmers and divers informed. Students who are participating in offseason training are generally doing a good job of following safety protocols and everyone's continued attention to published guidelines is appreciated. Practice pods are assigned by the coaches, so please coordinate with the coaches before your swimmer starts attending practice if you have not already done so.
Coaches and athletic directors are working on the regular season schedule, meet plan, and meet format. We hope to have further details by the end of this week. With that in mind, we are deferring holding a parent and swimmer information night until next week. Look for updates from coaches and the boosters this week with all updates going to the mailing list. If you are not signed up for the mailing list, we encourage you to do so.
Throughout the season, we will update the website with the latest information we have on practices, meets, and team events. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. We will do our best to answer with what we currently know.
