Wolverine Boys marching toward post season - Seniors honored!

9 Seniors were honored at the last regular season meet vs. Mercer Island. Boys put up a great fight despite being vastly outnumbered by a talented MI team. They started off strong with a win at 200 Medley relay, though the depth of MI team gradually caught up and showed Wolverine boys why MI is unbeaten this season. The final score is 63 to 115 with a MI win. Nevertheless, it was a strong meet for our wolverine boys with many personal bests and more state & district cuts. Peter Wang earned a state cut in 200 IM.

Graduating Seniors - Andrew Boden, Andrew Carter, Ethan Dang, Yichen Hu, Edreese Khosraw, Edward Li, Nathan Shao, Luke Walker, Peter Wang

Big District WIN - 3rd in a row - Destroying 200 Medley Relay Meet Record

Third time's a charm.  Great 200 MR started the meet off; both Bainbridge and the Wolverines destroyed the 200 MR record but the Wolverines prevailed with a win and a time of 1:35.00; setting the tone for the rest of the meet.  Wolverines won all of the relays and 3 individual events: Andrew Boden in the 200 Free; Jackson Dudley in the 500 Freestyle; and Nathan Shao in the 100 Free.  The oddest coincidence is Thomas Eggenberger tying himself in the 100 Fly and 100 Back with a time of 52.52 in both events.

Wolverines win KingCos for the third time in a row - Three new KingCo records

Picture
Wow, what an exciting meet. Strong relays and outstanding performances by Nick Kenny earned the Wolverines their third title.  Gordon Kenny and Ethan Wong got their first State times - way to go Freshmen. Two of our three divers scored as well.
New KingCo records in the following events:
200 Medley Relay: Mitchell Eggenberger, Andrew Lee, Thomas Eggenberger, Nick Kenny with a 1:37.34 beating a three year record by a 0.36 seconds.
200 Free Relay: Nick Kenny, Jackson Dudley, Thomas Eggenberger and Nathan Shao with a 1:27.80 beating a two year old record by half a second.
400 Free Relay: Andrew Lee, Andrew Boden, Jackson Dudley, Nathan Shao with a 3:14.01 beating last years record by a third of a second.

BELLEVUE COMPLETES AN UNDEFEATED DUAL MEET SEASON WITH A WIN AGAINST LIBERTY

The Bellevue Boys cruised past the Liberty Patriots, 134-47. Congratulations to AJ Rossman and Thomas Eggenberger for State qualifying swims in the 100 Backstroke. Now, the Wolverine Swimmers and Diver move on to the Kingco Dual Meet Championship against their rival and perennial powerhouse  - Mercer Island.

BELLEVUE TOPS CROSSTOWN RIVAL INTERLAKE

Finals week doesn't slow down the BHS swimmers and diver as they continue strongly toward post season. The Boys added another 121-62 win, this time against Interlake. BHS swivers added one more state qualifier, 3 more District qualifying times and 2 Kingco qualifying times.

BELLEVUE REMAINS UNDEFEATED WITH WIN OVER ISSAQUAH

BELLEVUE SWIMS PAST NEWPORT

The Wolverine Swimmers and Diver had another great night in the pool against their rivals from the other side of I-90, winning by a score of 113-70. The team already has 22 Conference qualifiers, 20 District qualifiers and 5 State qualifiers. In addition, the team has all 3 relays qualified for the State meet.

NO WING DOME CHALLENGE WINNERS THIS YEAR

At last year's annual Wing Dome visit, two BHS Swivers took the 7 Alarm Wing Dome Challenge (http://www.thewingdome.com/7alarm.cfm) and entered the hallowed BHS Boys Swim and Dive Capsicum Hall of Flame. Those brave souls were Mitchell Eggenberger and Blake Evans. There were challengers this year, but no new inductees into the Hall of Flame. However, Nick Kenny gets an honorable mention because, although he did not enter the actual contest, he ate at least three of Cameron Hayes' wings but he may have licked his fingers.

TERRIFIC EFFORT FROM SKELETON CREW LEADS TO BIG WIN OVER SKYLINE
