Hello Team!

I hope everyone is having a great summer. Our 2022 girls swim & dive season is just a week away! Practices start Mon 8/22 and our team photo is early this season Mon 8/29.
Please register in FinalForms if you haven't already and check that you have a current physical on file, and all parent AND student forms are signed before your first practice!
Complete details about practices, season schedule, and expectations can be found in the season info document link below, however some items are still TBA.

Any updates will be emailed and reflected in the live season info document. All files and links during the season will also be available on my team cloud drive at https://tinyurl.com/swivedrive. A current version of the season info document is also attached, as well as the prepay photo form. I do not have the 2022-23 post-season qualifying standards, but last season's are still up in the Links and References section of the cloud drive.

​Divers will need an ImPACT concussion test on file. BHS will offer testing:

• Wed 8/3 1:00p Room 0104 & 0105
• Wed 8/10 1:00p Room 0104 & 0105

These are the computer lab rooms and do not require a student have a laptop. Students without a BSD login please let athletic trainer Drew Chan know so he can help with login andrew.chan@seattlechildrens.org.

Swim & dive team is always a lot of fun, and looking forward to seeing everyone soon to start things off.

Fridays alternating each week starting 9/9

• 9/9, 9/23, 10/7, 10/21 Fri 4:00p-6:00p, Woodridge
• 9/16, 9/30, 10/14 Fri 6:00p-8:00p, Woodridge

 
Please help remove tarps and put lane lines in at the start when you arrive.

Dive Practice

• 8/22-8/31 Mon-Fri 11:30a-1:00p, Newport Hills Swim & Tennis Club
• Starting 9/1 Mon-Fri 3:45p-5:00p, Bellevue Aquatic Center

Dive practice is shared by all BSD high schools.

I encourage everyone to bring a water bottle. Other things you will need are a swimsuit, goggles, cap, towel, maybe some flip flops and sunblock since we are outdoors and may still have some warm days!

Please keep in mind, to be eligible to compete you will need 10 practices without any deductions. This means you can only miss 3 practices to compete by our first meet 9/9. It's easiest to get these in at the beginning, especially before school starts. Divers, I strongly encourage you to attend some of the swim practices the first 3 days to get your practices in, as there may not be dive practices on those days! We can try to find more dive-specific things for you to work on as well, and also do some swim & dive team-building the first week.
