The Bellevue High School Girls Swim and Dive program relies on the volunteer support of the booster community to run meets, sponsor and host events, and support the swimmers, coaches, and their families. The boosters sponsor and organize the Retreat, Team Dinners, Senior Night, and an end of year Banquet. Volunteers are needed for each event. Each home meet requires enough volunteers to have two timers in each lane, a head timer, scoreboard operator, and a computer operator.

Regular Season Meets Regular season home meets are "hosted" by Bellevue High School volunteers. A lot of them. In a normal year, each meet requires a minimum of 3 officials, 12 timers, 1 backup timer, 1 swim announcer, 1 computer operator, 1 scoreboard operator, and 1 dive announcer. In most cases, we like to have backup support for the timers, computer, and scoreboard too.
Time Trials Time Trials will be conducted weekly using the four middle lanes at Woodridge Swim Club. The outside lanes will be used for warm up/down and cheering by those not swimming. A minimum of four timers and a backup timer are requiredso we can get accurate times for all swims. Norwood Swim Club has been kind enough to loan us their starting system so we also need a starter with prior experience in Midlakes, USA Swimming, or equivalent meet settings.
Dual Meets Dual Meets held at Mary Wayte Pool . Each meet requires a minimum of 3 officials, 12 timers, 1 backup timer, 1 swim announcer, 1 computer operator, 1 scoreboard operator, and 1 dive announcer. In most cases, we like to have backup support for the timers, computer, and scoreboard too.
Postseason Meets Postseason meets often require that each participating team staff one or two lanes with timers. This generally means that we require 2-4 volunteers per session. For a multi-day, multi-session meet like the District Championships this can mean we need 6-12 volunteers total.
Banquet The season traditionally wraps up with an end of year banquet to celebrate the season, the swimmers and coaches, and thank our wonderful Bellevue High School Swim and Dive community. Volunteers are needed to help organize the event, provide desserts and set up, clean up, and tear down decorations.
Team Dinners It is a tradition for the team to gather a few times during the regular season and again before each of the big postseason meets for a team dinner. Families volunteer to host the dinner at their home.
Retreat The girls typically kick off the swim and dive season with a fun retreat that may require parent volunteer drivers and chaperones.
