From Coach Michael - BHS Girls Swim & Dive Season Starts 8/26 Fall 2024!

Hello BHS Girls Swim & Dive!

I hope everyone is having a great summer. The 2024 girls swim & dive season is just 2 weeks away! Practices start Mon 8/26.

Please register in FinalForms if you haven't already and check that you have a current physical on file, and all parent AND student forms are signed before your first practice! Divers will also need an ImPACT concussion test on file. ImPACT testing for divers will be offered 8/19, 8/20, 8/22, 8/23 at the BHS Commons, please arrive before 2:00p.

First week practices will be:

Swim Practice
8/26-9/2 Mon-Fri 10:00a-12:00p, Woodridge Swim Club (includes practice on Labor Day)

Dive Practice
8/26-9/2 Mon-Fri 11:30a-1:00p, Newport Hills Swim & Tennis (South Pool)

Wed 9/4 2:00p, Team Photo, BHS Commons

Our team retreat and practice is planned for one day only, 9/7 at Woodridge Swim Club and Woodridge Elementary to follow, please save the date!

Other highlights from the season info document:

• Our TEAM GOAL this year is to have everyone eligible for competition with a minimum of 7 practice days (previously 10) by our 2nd meet, Issaquah @ Bellevue, Thu 9/19. Meets and practices are most fun when more are able to go! Please make swim & dive a priority to get enough practices by then.
• Athletes are expected to attend 3-5 days per week, maintain at least 50%, and may not miss more than 3 days a week without prior communication.
• If arriving late or leaving early, prior communication must be made by the student; or a parent, teacher, or doctor's note will be accepted at any time.
• Microsoft Teams will also be used for student communication with a team chat (not yet created). Please ensure that your student account has Teams access in the app or a browser.

Post-season qualifying standards for 2024-25 have not been released yet, but 2023-24 standards can be found in the Resources section of the cloud drive, here:
